ANNOUNCING THird DCMF ADULT AMATEUR CHAMBER MUSIC WEEKEND!

june 6-8, 2025

The Denver Chamber Music Festival is thrilled to announce the third DCMF Amateur Chamber Music Weekend, June 6-8, 2025. Hosted by the Newman Center at the University of Denver, participants will enjoy two full days of chamber music immersion culminating in a fun performance in the glorious Hamilton Recital Hall at the Lamont School of Music.

We will welcome preformed groups and individual musicians to work with world-class artists including pianists Stephanie Cheng, Julio Elizalde, (who will be giving the featured master class), violinist Andrea Segar, violists Margaret Dyer Harris and Roberta Zalkind, and cellists Alice Yoo and Matthew Zalkind.

The philosophy of our DCMF Adult Amateur Chamber Music Weekend is to help our participants build meaningful connections to their instruments, their colleagues, and the music, and to make chamber music as moving and exciting as ever!


The fee to participate is $350*

Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano

Eligibility: Non professional adult musicians

Application Deadline: March 15th, 2025

Spots are limited- an application does not guarantee participation

7:30pm-8:30pm: Group rehearsals

SATURDAY, JUNE 7TH

10:00am - 12:00pm: Rehearsals/Coaching

12:15pm - 1:30pm: Lunch (provided)

2:00pm - 3:45pm: Rehearsals/Coaching

4:15pm - 6:00pm: Masterclass with Julio Elizalde

Evening: Optional chamber music sight reading

SUNDAY, JUNE 8TH

10:00am - 12:00pm: Rehearsals/Coaching

12:15pm - 1:30pm: Lunch (provided)

2:00pm: Participants’ concert and Reception
